Canteens for food to be opened in Haryana under “Antyodaya Anna Yojana” – Good news as in Haryana state Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board will open canteens under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana to provide food at affordable prices to construction workers and poor people. Main aim of Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) is to provide highly subsidised food to millions of the poorest families. It was launched by the [NDA] government on 25 December 2000 and first implemented in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
It has been more than 15 years to launch of this scheme , still its working on its fullest.

|To provide food at heavily subsidised rates|
|Get breakfast only for 5 rupees per person|
|full-coarse meal for 10 rupees per person|
Also – The food will be provided right at the work place of people
Delivery of food under Antyodaya Anna Yojana in Haryana
To deliver the food at the right time mobile vans will be deployed to make food available to the poor at labour chowks. A meeting was held on Thursday under which Chief Minister Manohar Lal, said that final touches will be given to the scheme within a month.
He said, similar schemes run in other states were also discussed and reviewed at the meeting to arrive at the best possible option. He said initially the scheme will be started for one year and non-governmental organizations and social organizations will also be involved in its implementation.
