The Delhi government has approved three waste-to-energy plants with a total capacity of 52 MW capacity to overcome the problem of disposal of municipal waste. The 16 MW plant in Okhla is already working, which is India’s largest integrated waste management project. Electricity is being made from 2,000 tonnes of waste every day.
